Year 1 had a fantastic day on Friday 11th December during our Outdoor Learning Day. We might have ended the day a little muddy but it was all worth it for the fun we had.
We were able to apply our addition and subtraction skills in Forest School – that’s were the mud came from! We had the opportunity to organise our own learning by sorting images of toys into groups. We choose the groups and explain our choices to our teachers. Then we had to sort them another way. This time it was a little trickier but we managed to sort them. Each group had their own ideas, which we shared.
To prepare for next term we also looked at the seven continents around the world, sang songs and labelled maps. Overall, we had a great day and made our learning extra interesting. We are looking forward to the next one already.
