WOW what an exciting week we have had in Year 1.
The children have been immersed into the King’s Coronation and have been working hard creating pieces of work to reflect their learning ready for the exhibition.
The highlight of the week for the teachers was seeing so many parents, relatives and carers at parental engagement working with their child. The children had the opportunity to create
an orb or sceptre. It was a messy time, but from all the feedback we had, it was a lovely afternoon. There was a lot of interest from other members of staff who popped in to see what was going on and offer a helping hand. Miss Kelly took a break from her work and came and joined in encouraging the children and getting them to talk about what they were doing and why. We think that really she wanted to sit down and create one for herself!!!
