Reception – Understanding the World
Reception have been exploring and investigating the world around them over in Forest School this week. They found lots of signs that Spring is on its way and they were confident to talk about all the changes that are occurring all around them.
The children were particularly fascinated when they found a hedgehog skeleton in the grass. It led to lots of conversations about bones and what they are for as well as what could have happened to the hedgehog and talking about life cycles and animals in the wild.
Over the half term, why not go on a nature walk with your child and see if they can spot and talk to you about the changes in their natural world?
