This term, Reception have been learning about what animals hibernate and why. This week, we received a letter from Brown Bear asking why his friend Polar Bear does not hibernate.
The children have been finding out why Polar Bears don’t hibernate, as well as exploring the environment in which Polar Bears live and the other animals you might find there.
We have been playing imaginatively in the tuff tray… adding stories and coming up with adventures for the different arctic animals in the snow and we have been creating arctic scenes at the creative table using different resources such as chalk, cotton wool, glitter and tissue paper.
