Reception have been learning about Easter. We found out that Christians celebrate Easter to remember when Jesus came back to life after dying on the cross.
We learned about ways Christians celebrate Easter and how Easter is a time to celebrate new life. We also made a class Easter garden as we learned about the Easter story.
Spring is a time where there is a lot of new life in the world around us, so we went for a 'Spring Walk' around school to try to spot signs of new life and found nests, daffodils, leaf buds and blossom. We created Spring pictures by painting and drawing flowers such as daffodils and the blossom on trees.
We sequenced the life cycle of a chick and made our own Easter cards.
