Pupils

At Oak Hill First School, we use many platforms to support, enhance and share our pupils learning.

Here are some of the key platforms we encourage our pupils to explore:

Times Table rockstars

Are you ready to become a Math Rockstar? Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) is a maths programme that takes all the worry out of learning times tables and has a proven track record of boosting children’s fluency and recall in multiplication and division. It is used by our children in Year 2 (from the summer term), 3 and 4 and is a fantastic, interactive resource that we use daily in school and can be used at home through your pupils own individual log on. Access TTRS here

Numbots

Numbots is used with our younger pupils in EYFS and Y1; it helps to build up fast recall of what numbers look like (subitising) as well as improving addition and subtraction fluency for numbers within 20.

GoNoodle

GoNoodle is a web and app based educational tool. Whilst it is an American online platform, there are a range of activities that provide movement breaks, mindfulness and skills and knowledge-based activities. It is free and easy to use at home or school, with a range of activities for all school ages.

Scratch At school

Scratch is used within our Computing curriculum to teach and learn about coding. It is a visual programming language and online community where you can create interactive stories, games, and animations. It’s a great platform for learning coding concepts in a fun and engaging way!

ClassDojo

ClassDojo is a school communication platform that our teachers, students, and families use every day to build close-knit communities by sharing what’s being learned in the classroom at home through photos, videos, and messages. Parents and teachers can communicate with each other with any questions and queries keeping lines of communication open efficiently, even during the school day.

These resources are designed to supplement classroom learning and provide an enjoyable way for you to reinforce your skills while having fun. We encourage all our pupils to take advantage of these resources to enhance their learning in and outside the classroom.

If you have any issues accessing these resources, please inform the class teacher.
